Notice is hereby served in accordance with Paragraph 9.2 of the Constitution, that the Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday, 28th August 2019 at 18:30 at the Port Elizabeth Deep Sea Angling Club Wheel House Venue, Port Elizabeth.

Snacks will be served directly after the meeting has been concluded.

Please take note of the following important items:

  1. Only items submitted in writing 14 days prior to the AGM bearing relevance to matters to the annual AGM will be discussed (must be received by 12h00 midday on 14th August 2019 to be placed on the AGM agenda).
  2. Nominations for office bearers will open on the 8th August 2019, and will close at 12h00 on the 22nd August 2019. Nomination forms for office bearers shall be available only from the 8th August from the bar person on duty, or can be requested from the Club Administrator via e-mail. Please ensure to only nominate persons who are willing to serve the nominated portfolio with dedication and willingness to serve the club and its members to the best of their ability.
    Also note:
    • All voting for contested positions shall be done by a marked ballot provided by the electoral officer on the evening of the AGM.
    • Only full members who are in good standing will be permitted to cast a vote. (members by family association may not vote.)
    • Voting by proxy for office bearers shall not be allowed.

  3. Any member who wishes to suggest long serving and deserving members for Honory Life Membership, must do so in writing and must reach the committee by 12h00 on the 14th August 2019.
    Honorary Life Members shall be those members or persons on whom an Annual General Meeting (upon recommendation by the Committee) has conferred Life Membership for outstanding and meritorious services to the Club, provided that the recommendation of the Committee in this respect shall be by unanimous vote. Not more that 2 Honorary Life Memberships shall be put forward in any one year.
